Checking in

Here we are in the midst of October 2020 and it seems as though we have not moved far from some of the initial days of COVID. For some communities gyms have begun to open up, for others they have remained closed. Running events are still virtual… and who knows when we will begin to see the in-person competitions. For those who compete in strength events, those are also in the unknown arena. I don’t know about you, but these virtual events are hard to train for. Running a virtual race does not have the same feel as an in-person race.

The thing with doing a virtual event, is that you miss out on the community that you gain at the event. You miss out on the friends that check in on you? Those that see you and see your progress and say something.

So here I am checking in, how are you dealing with the uncertainty of events? Are you continuing to train in preparation for events? Have you put things on hold? What are you doing for your fitness? What is your progress? Let’s chat.
